Telegram banned my number out of nowhere

Woke up this morning and my Telegram just says "This phone number is banned", no warning, no explanation, nothing. I was only messaging my own contacts about a side project, nothing spammy at all. Is there any way to get it back or do I just have to kiss that account goodbye?
