Armodafinil used for? Armodafinil is a prescription wakefulness-promoting medication used to help adults remain alert when excessive daytime sleepiness is caused by recognised sleep disorders. It is most commonly prescribed for narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) with residual daytime sleepiness despite primary therapy, and shift work sleep disorder (SWSD).
